What we fix

Every common (and uncommon) garage door problem.

If your garage door isn't doing what it's supposed to do, we've seen it before. After 24 years working on doors across Lancaster, Palmdale, and the Antelope Valley, there's no failure mode that surprises us. Most repairs we close out in a single visit with parts already on the truck.

Broken torsion & extension springs

You hear a loud bang. The door won't open. Or it opens halfway and slams down. That's a spring — and it's the most common garage door failure there is. Springs are also genuinely dangerous to work on yourself — they're wound under tens of thousands of foot-pounds of torque. Read more about why spring work is a job for licensed pros, and call us — we replace them safely with the right gauge and length on the first visit.

Snapped lift cables

When a cable snaps, the door usually drops sideways on one side or slams down. Don't try to lift it manually — you can drop a 250-lb panel on yourself. We replace cables in matched pairs (you never replace just one) and reset the spring tension while we're there.

Off-track doors

A car backed into a closed door, the rollers gave out, or the bottom bracket twisted — and now the door is hanging at an angle or stuck halfway. We straighten the track, replace bent sections, reset the rollers and brackets, and make sure the door balances cleanly before we leave.

Worn rollers, hinges, & bottom seal

The cheapest service we offer — and one of the most effective. Lubricate the hinges, swap out worn nylon rollers for sealed bearings, retighten the brackets, and replace the bottom weather seal. A 45-minute tune-up makes the door run quieter, last longer, and seal out dust and rodents.

Opener problems

Door won't open at all? Opener hums but doesn't move? Remote works sometimes, doesn't others? We diagnose it on-site — bad logic boards, dead capacitors, stripped gears, dirty photo-eyes, dying batteries — and fix or replace whichever piece is at fault. See the full opener repair page →

Panel replacement & section damage

Backed your car into the door? Storm dented a panel? We replace individual sections on most major brands — Clopay, CHI, Wayne Dalton, Elegant — without having to replace the entire door. If we can't get a matching panel anymore (older models go discontinued), we'll quote a full replacement at fair pricing.

Weather seal, struts, & the small stuff

Wind rattling through the bottom of the door? Visible gap when it's closed? We replace the bottom seal, side seals, and top seal. We can also add a horizontal strut to a sagging panel — keeps the door rigid through years of opening and closing.

FAQ

Straight answers, no upsell.

How fast can you get to my house?
Most days we're at your door same-day in Lancaster, Palmdale, and the broader Antelope Valley. Call us — the owner answers and gives you a real ETA.
My door won't close all the way. What's wrong?
Nine times out of ten it's the safety photo-eyes (the little black sensors near the floor on each side of the door) — they're misaligned, dusty, or wired loose. We diagnose it on the first visit, realign or replace the sensors, and you're back in business.
My garage door is making a loud noise.
Noisy doors usually mean dry hinges, worn rollers, loose hardware, or a tired opener chain/belt. We lubricate, tighten, and replace what's worn. A 30-minute tune-up usually solves it — and quiets it back down.
Can you repair any brand of door?
Yes — we service Clopay, CHI, Wayne Dalton, Elegant, Amarr, Genie, Liftmaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman, and every other major (and minor) brand. We carry universal parts on the truck for the common fixes.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most repairs are done in 30 to 90 minutes — broken springs, snapped cables, off-track doors, opener resets. New panels or full door replacements take longer; we'll quote it on-site.
Do you offer warranties on your repair work?
Yes. Every repair we do is backed in writing — parts and labor both. We stand behind the work because our customers in Lancaster come back, and tell their neighbors.
